Hello Friends,
I currently reside in Nebraska. I'm in pending I-485, and its I-797C�s Received Date was in Aug, 20007, Receipt Number: LIN-xx-xxx-xxxxx. My EAD expires on this December 2010, and my AP has expired on December 2008. I re-entered US on Feb, 2010 using H1B Visa and its HIB has expired on May 2010. I�d like renew my EAD and AP. I�ve got all paper ready to file, but I�m confused about Where Service Center/Office I should file to and pay the fees to. I�d appreciate your help.

I have my H1B visa with NIIT. My petition and visa for the first 3 yr period expire in October 2008. I am returning to India in April '08 to do my MBA, and will resign from NIIT, and therefore will not be able to renew my visa.
If I want to work in the US after I graduate, say in August '09, can an employer file a transfer petition based on this visa? Or Will they have to file for a new one under the quota? And if so, is there a way that I can hang on to my H1 status?

Since H1 is for 6 years, you can extend for another year without filing I-140. You can apply for renewal within 180 days before expiry.

Hello all,
Form I-693 downloading from the following site is valid until 6/30/07.
Is it ok to use this form though we will be filing the I-485 on 07/01/07.

Hi,
I applied for EAD renewal to Nebraska center on Dec 12th.
So far I didn't received the receipt and also my check didn't get cashed.
Did anybody encounter similar situation. If so please let me know what you have done.

I know that the EAD card comes directly to the applicant and not to the attorney.
What about RFE on EAD? Does that too come directly to the applicant?
Pls lets know when you get your EAD. It would be interesting to see how long it takes with this avalanche of EAD applications

Dear all,
Myself and my husband both have approved I-797 for H1B from different US companies.
I went for my stamping to US embassy and they asked for more evidence regarding the US company and my case is currently pending with them with all my documents ( passport, I797, marriage certificate, etc).
Now my US company is not able to get a job letter for me.
Meanwhile my husband is planning to go for his stamping. He has good evidence to support his case.
My questions are -
1.) How can I retrieve all my documents from US embassy without affecting my passport and my H1 case?
2.) If I am able to retrieve all the documents safely, can I apply for H4 with my husband`s H1 stamping?
3.) Will they create problem for issuing H4 to me because of my pending H1b case?
4.) With H4 visa and I-797 approval notice, can I start working in US ?
5.) What will be the best way out of this situation without affecting our working visas ?
Please reply if you know anything.

Can i cancel appoinment one day before.
I saw in www.vfs-usa.co.in website ,have to cancel before two working days of appointment day.
If i cancel appointmentafter few days will i have to fill again DS156,157 forms for appointment.
In website they said cant cancel appointment 2 times.After 2 times cancelation have to wait 90 days with that hdfc barcode.
Before 90 days period can we fix new appoinment by paying agian into HDFC bank.Is this possible new appointment with new barcode.

If you have a phd, is it automatically EB1? or do the rules of employment should call for phd apply?

I dont think I would trust your friend's cousin on that based on what I have read on here and other places. PD of aug-05 and EB3-I, I have my doubts, but if it is true, I am happy for him.

I received a status update email from USCIS yesterday on my wife's pending I-485 application. The status says "On November 5, 2007, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I485 as undeliverable�.
The status used to say "application is pending" as recently as a week ago. If some notice had indeed been returned to them, wouldn't the status have changed around Nov 5, 2007? Could this be an erroneous online status change? We completed our FP back in Oct 2007. we have received EAD, AP, etc. on our address properly, and haven't moved.
