Hello friends
I am thinking of taking these semester off because of my health issue
I had decided to attend classes and booked my ticket in April to my country. I am an international student
So I was thinking how many months I can stay in USA after I take a semester break
Also if I take these spring break off and than the summer break is off by default so will it be a problem if I am not in status for 7 months?
Please let me know

Hi,
My husband was had complete his MS from US and moved to H1 , recently went to India for and his H1 visa is rejected. I am on L1 so now he got his L2 visa approved.
I wish to know the following -
In order to start working as soon as possible what all options he has.
I long will L2 EAD will take?
Can he switch back to is orginal H1 once he come back to US? or he has to apply new H1.
Can he apply for both H1 and EAD. If so which one will be taken in to consideration if both are approved?
Please give you expert advice on what to do next.

I just realized a stupid mistake was made after filing my COS from F1 to H1B. My employer sent the entire application this Monday to Vermont Premium Processing Center. I had no idea that the I-539 was not even needed and that I-129 and I-907 were sufficient enough to proceed with the COS. Anyway, is there a way to correct this error? I'm just hoping USCIS won't reject my application and just process my COS.
I included a separate check worth $300 to pay for the I-539 but the rest of the payments were issued by my sponsoring employer. I really thought I-539 was one of the requirements so I went ahead and included it.
Any input will be appreciated.

If I understand it right.. The whole House of Reps is up for re-elections every 2 years and 1/3 senate members get reelected at the same interval too...
Does any one know what happens to pending bills at the time of elections..Specifically regarding S2611...If say the conference committee reaches a compromise just before elections but for some reason they dont get to take a vote on it... Does the new senate and house carry the bill forward from that point or does the bill gets reset ?

I filed green card with my old emp. in 2002, i applied for i485 July/07 and in APR/08 i change my job to similar profession, now i work and live in MD, and my interview for status adj is sch in NJ, should i notify and change address to MD since i live , work and my current emp. in MD. Please help....

I re-entered the country using Advance Parole. I applied for H1 extension after the reentry and I have the approval notice with the I94 attached to it.
EAD renewal questions:
Manner of last entry - I think it should be Advance Parole
Current Immigrant status - Not sure if it is Parolee or H1?
Please help and reply if you have filed EAD in same case and got approval. Thanks in advance.

I applied for my I-485 September 2008 and have had EAD for more than a year now. However, I got married in Feb 2009 (after my 485 application) and never had a chance to add my wife to the application (she's on H4).
Now, I really really want to change my job (not change of role/title, just change of company).
How does it work if I change companies now? I don't want to or rather can't use EAD since that will make my wife's status invalid. Now, if I am to get a H1B transfer, what happens with my GC application given I already have my EAD with the current company??
Please advise. Thank you!

As expected this happened, but it happened sooner than expected.
This expected sooner because CIR was voted out in Senate and this was not thought about by this goverment.
Basically this was a close door arrangement between govt agencies which temporarily wanted to lower the friction by IV AND SIMILAR GROUPS.
BUT finally I believe this will come to a rest once we have new government next year.
Till that we are a tennis ball which can be tossed to any court.
PS: I dont even have I-140 and not even applied for one.
So best of luck to all and me.

I work for company A. I am on a project actively with an end client from last one year. My company A stopped paying me from past 5 months in spite of them getting paid from the vendor. I have requested my company to release all my payments pending from last 5 months repeatedly. But they don't seem to bother. I am planning to change my employer now.
My question is Am i out of status since I am not getting paid from last 5 months? I have luckily all the copies of pay stubs till a month ago. Only thing is that I haven;t received them yet. Please let me know

Hello im a senior in high school, i was wondering if anyone could guide me...what do i do? i want a carrer in web design but should i go to a Art Insititute and stud multimedia and web design or should i go to a regular college and study it there? i have no idea...i have done my research but could anyone help me on my way? thanks a lot...
