I agree with the posts to a certain extent but the last time we sent mass letters only 5000 letters were collected. A couple of people were responsible for collecting 500-1000 letters each. You can caculate the percentage of letter writers of the who actually sent out the letters.
We talk about num usa etal.. bear in mind they have lots of resources and volunteers willing to call and write letters. We keep fighting about EB3 Vs EB2, red dots and green dots and other 'important' issues, very few actually make the calls. The ones who work, keep working while others demand answers as to why issues are not fixed, the rest of us just like discussing issues to death on the forums... just my 2 (pick your denomination).

not every h1 guy can or will apply for GC. For example many of this big indian IT companies, with lot of H1s in hand, either dont apply GC for employees or they have very strict policies so that most dont qualify.
I know for sure , coz i am a victims of such situation :)
many of those H1s (>50% in cases I have come across) jump to a US company here and start their GC here.

I just wanted to find out if anybody received email feedback from USCIS once they opened SR with USCIS? Do they even provide any feedback on SR???
I created the SR to check the status of my AP on Jan 8th and have bot heard anything back yet.

one way to demonstrate our worth is for our employers to come out and speak loudly. i am trying to get my employer to do exactly this. but we need new ideas.
BTW: sidenote: in all these years of reading about Gandhi, and I am a big fan of history, I have never heard of a mountain called "Gandhigiri." Exactly where is this mountain located? :)

Calls are only the start. Remember, the other side is also doing the same -sometimes outsourcing calls.
Remember we all spend hours in US consulates waiting for our turn. What is now stopping us to make a personal visit. Explaining your story in person is far more effective than a call or an email.

Do all agree that "bridge bill" is the only real helpful measure for us? Or you can show us some other ways?
I mean let's set at least one goal!
After that we can establish what we have, and how we can make it real.
Anyway, it might be quite difficult to organise such a work group, because the majourity of schedule A are outside the US, and on CP... But we all have our emploiers and attorneis who could help us to lobby our interests in the US.
What do you think about it?

thats true, You will not get red marks. Coz, everybody agrees with that. It is just some good news and hope for EB2. Otherwise, people will be left with no option but to move back to their home country's in current markets.

The answer is "No" - my employer is also not willing to sign that form. They are saying that its against their policy to push Ombudsman or CIS for a I-140 which is pending for 15 months.
They are saying that the only thing they can do for me is "opening a service request" after 60 days of "Processing Date Update" Now Processing Date update is stuck @ Mar 22nd 2007 for last 4 months , so they are happy they are not obligated to do that either.
This is a huge Pain because 140 is actually employer petition and we are beneficiaries.
Lonedesi - Please advise, I'm ready to mail just the letter to CIS Ombudsman.

Cmon stop the rumour. Just because some of you sent the application on 2nd doesnt mean that they will honour it. If and if they do , there will be much more serious and valid lawsuit, because they've already issued a revision from 2nd July. Under law they have to give everyone a fair and equal chance (including the ones who haven't sent there application but were eligible as per old July bulletin).
So pls stop cooking rumours from your lawyer. He simply doesn't want to pay back your fee and keeping your hope high..

In a weird way, I feel this is good news. An old saying in China says 'Things will turn to their opposite at their extremes'. The moment before dawn is the darkest hour of the day.
I agree. Since politicians have no incentives from helping our cause, it has to come to an extreme breaking point when USCIS/DOS or politicians take any action. I think we have reached that point and that will help in highlighting the mess we are in.
Just trying to be optimistic!:)
