Any one recently re-financed or obtained a mortgage loan with Bank of America or Wells Fargo. Both the banks denied loan stating not having a valid visa as a reason, though I have approved EAD with 485 pending and I-140 approved. I have contacted the customer support, since the loan was through the mortgage broker. The underwrite appears to not accept EAD as a valid status and asking to provide a copy of visa to purse further. Any one have any specific docs / links that might help other than the ones in this thread.

If the economy is holding up like it does, other issues including immigration may get put on the backburner. This is the time to stand up and make our voices heard. Please step up and contribute for the massive lobbying that we (you and I) need to do to get these action items taken care of.
Don't think that other guys are contributing and this will be taken care of by iteself since I have other channels where my money is flowing into, and that I will contribute later if one of the bills get to the house floor etc. This is the time your help is needed the most. Each and every penny that you contribute matters.
It's high time we all see the big picture and stand up for ourselves because you know why...No one else is looking out for us but IV (us)!

She recently announced in her campaign that she will increase the H1B visas
She also made a statement that she will try for more benefits for permanent residents.
She does not want to support only the people who are in the process of immigration???

Please update us on this thread when you receive the physical notice and let us know if the receipt date was Jun15th or something else. That will give us some vital information abt what the defintion of receipt date is.

My application was sent on June, 14th and delivered on June 15th (I have the FedEx tracking info and signature page confirming 6/15).
The case status online based on receipt number (obtained by calling them a few times until I got lucky) says:
"On July 11, 2007, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case."
Not sure if the online status is referring to the receipt date or the notice date when it says "On July 11, 2007, we received" when, in fact, they received it on June 15th!!

America does not need to do anything to get more workers. People will keep coming and it will always be a positive flow of good talent into America. The only Indians (and others) who might tell you that they do not want to come to the USA and the American dream is gone, etc., are talking bull and they know it. All this May 15th/21 date is open to interepretation there is no set concrete laws yet.I just filed I-140 and I-1485 on the 1 st June and my attorney told me just go and wait now and live your life.We can worry about stupid laws that MIGHT go into affect a yr or never and destroy your precious time.
In the meantime go to NUMBERSUSA website and send as many faxs against this CIR bill and get it shutdown.

I understand but i already sent our media drive to 50 different media , i aleady sent multiple faxes , i already sent many many emails but please advise me what more should i do to convince IV core that issues i have mentioned also effect many who are already IV members , i am requesting you to see Text of Webfax is added acoordingly ?

My Loan is not Jumbo loan, its under 400K
I don't have 20% down. But I was speaking to the Loan officer, he was telling, it doesn't matter if you put more down or not, 3yr forward continuous visa is req. I never heard this earlier.
Jumbo loans are not getting approved for EAD status. Banks are rejecting Jumbo loans (> 417K) if your immigration status is EAD or AOS. I don't have any idea about normal loans (< 417K). But banks are giving Jumbo loans if the status is H-1B.
But noone is rejecting loan, if your down payment is 20% of the value of the home.

Thanks to the glorious service of the Atlanta center :mad: I missed the I-485 bus by 7 days( Labor cleared on Aug end ). Many people with later PD's got cleared from the Chicago PERM center . Now I just watch as all members get their EAD's and AP's while I wait with nothing but hope and watch legislation after legislation fail in the senate and house , and the letters flying all over the place .
Very SAD to know that you missed the opportunity to file AOS by 7 days. I know how painful it can be.
Do you know of any efforts to speed up the ATL PERM processing ? I see the graph at has a downward trend lately (less average time for approval).

I never give any red or green dot to anybody nor do I care what I have. As, you said what you felt was right, other users did the same to you...
I got red dots, just because I raised my concerns against factual errors in the letter. I have never mentioned that I am against sending letters. Just that emotional outburst is not going to help EB-3 India applicants.

Some benefits can be revoked automatically (I-140, I-485), some can be revoked only after determination is made by USCIS and a beneficiary is notified and has an opportunity to respond. EAD is one of the latter.
See e.g., 8 CFR Part 205 titled "Revocation of approval of petitions". It has two sections: 205.1 Automatic revocation and 205.2 Revocation on notice.
