As requested by IV core, from now on my recurring contributions would be $50 ( till date it was $20).
As fellow legal immigrants each of us share a responsibility to ease the process of GC. If each and every member engages in a financial contribution our confidence as a team would grow by leaps and bounds. This i believe would let core team lobby a lot stronger for our causes.
I hope all contributing members would be a motivation for other IV members to contribute.

My company filed labor application on 13th September 2010 and it was approved on 2nd November 2010. Now getting ready for I-140. I thought I will share this info with the forum

What's the source of of this information... Is this u'r guess or from any other source ???
July 2nd filers can expect their receipts by Friday(8/10) or Monday(8/13). It will take 3 days for them to just process July 2nd receipts.

The news about these amendments really lightened up our suffering retrogressed souls.
But its really unfortunate to know that President Bush is gonna veto the bill altogether.

Hope same kind of amendments are offered in other bills with high sucess rate of passing.
These few days are critical since November 16 is the adjournment date for Senate and no immigration bills will be approved in 2008.

Who brought you to this country ? Do you have any kind of formal education or not ?? You don't understand the concept of Public office... USCIS is a public office they are answerable to public, taxpayers like me and others(I'm not sure about you). If each of us thought that way than we wouldn't be here, we have changed several things in the past and will continue our efforts to do so in the future, and BTW what are you doing here, get the H.O. of here...

I think what Dard-E-Disco is pointing out is that, we are foreigners (Not citizens of the USA), therefore our rights are not the same as a US citizen.
We could create rallies, voice our concerns on this forum, write letters to congressmen and senators, etc etc etc, and that is fine, but we don't have any right to really ask particularly USCIS about their internal workings. I would assume that even US citizens are able to do what you are saying. There are certain levels of confidentiality specially in government that they will never share with anyone.
I think the same is true in your country.
How would you think people in you country or governmnet would react if a foreigner start to question your immigation policy.
Think about that.

There's nothing new there. Its silly actually. The later bulletin supersedes the previous bulletin and everyone knows that.
But they are just connecting the "flip" and the "flop" of their flip-flop of visa bulletin. They are saying that if you read "Flip", then "Flop" must be read too and if you read "Flop", then "Flip" must be read too, in order to make sense of the Flip-Flop.
Its like saying "I voted for current visa bulletin before I voted against it".

It is always an option for any one with in their org, but if his point is wrong, then IV core leadership should prove him that they are not sitting idle or moving very very slow.
Every one starting their own organization or asking to do so doesn't solve the purpose.
Why cant he start an initiative and take it to completion and show everybody that he can do something. IV is for everybody just complaining wouldn't take us far. :confused:

For BOA, you can add your own Payee.
Under Payee tab > Search browse Payee List > Then on rightside see 'Pay anyone- Add your own Payee'. Select this add IV as a payee.

Nope, still waiting for I-140. Opened a ticket with both local congressman and USCIS.
CM replied saying "file is with manager for review".....whatever that means...

Assuming that the PD cut off date for a specific stream is 2004 Aug and there are still visa nos available but there are not enough application (can this ever happen for real) what are they going to do? They move the PD further up and whenever the pool is depleting they move it back again?
Assuming they move back the PD to 2000 after they ran out of the nos they start accepting AOS apps for that PD but they donot look at them (for adjudication) until the queue before is cleared based on the receipt date.
In such a case the PD lost all it's significance once the adjustment of status if filed?
If receipt date is the only significant date after AOS is filed then retrogressing to a specified date does not make sense as there is no need to accept new applications if they are not going to work on them and particularly when they know the current size of the queue.
Or May be I am missing something......

On the other hand i had my PD current on July and i applied. After i applied and before you applied there could be 10k(for example) applications. They not going to look for the PD and pull out your's from the pile of applications. Its your fault that you have not applied early enough even though your PD was current.

The only practical solution, IMHO, is to move over to EB-2. Like they say, If you can't beat them, join them.

I am lucky enough to have an EB2 job with current PD. Several of my friends who are eligible for EB2 could not find suitable EB2 jobs and could not file in EB2.

If one thinks with cool head, what you said makes sense. also if you remember when EB3 (I) was actually retrgoressed on Jan1/2005, the PD was jun/2002. Then it was retrogressed all the way back to 1999 or something. Later on, slowly it came up to March/2001 & stopped there for a while due to the so called 'Hump' (due to 245i cases, i think)
AND slowly but steadily PD for EB-I crawled up to Nov/2001 until May2007.
Suddenly in June'07, the PD was advanced to June/2003 and i know so many pending cases were cleared around july and august of 2007.
So far what i've mentioned are all facts only.
Now looking forward for fiscal year allocations starting from Oct'2008, i can say the PD for EB-I will begin atleast Jun'2002. May be even a better PD but i'm not sure. For sure there is a good chance of making progress to end of 2003 when it comes to Sep'2009. This is based on availability of only those visa numbers as mandated by law as of today.

My case was filed on Feb 27th. Still pending. No response from Atlanta. I have 11 more days to go and after that it doesn't matter when I get my PERM as I would be locked out for potentially 5-6 years! This system is not fair at all...if I was working in one of the western states, I could have filed even today and get certified in 2-3 days....
